Episode Two of The Fifth Contingency is finally underway. We've got two sketches in the can, and more on schedule to be shot in the coming weeks. Hopefully, this episode will be done by July, 2002 so it won't have been a full year between episodes. Episode info is up here and the photo gallery is started here with a lot more to come. Come back often.

Box office opens at 6:30 and we are informed a sell-out crowd is expected.

After the show all filmmakers and the audience are invited to Espresso Royale Caffe on
State Street to participate in an informal talk-back.
"Oh, Those Martians" is the last film on the agenda, which we'll take as a compliment. We
hope to win an enormous cash prize depsite the fact that the event is not a competition and
no cash prize is being offered. It's just one of those things we alwyas hope for.
See you there!

We held our pre-production meeting for our second episode last night. The vicious cycle begins anew.

The Fifth Contingency at the premiere screening.

Last night, we held the world premiere of Episode One: Secret Origins. Something around 100 people attended the screening in the University of Michigan Media Union's studio. We were all quite pleased with the audience's reaction, especially when we found out later that the N02 we had rigged to be slowly released into the room had not actually worked.

As of today, the episode is completely in the can (that's shobiz-type talk for all on tape, not a toilet-comment on the show quality). Now for a week of frantic editing. Editing like the wind.
The Fifth Contingency is currently racing to complete its first episode for a premiere party scheduled for August 11, 2001 (the day before cast member Steevn P. Huey moves to California). We're roughly 3/4 done. Wish us luck.
