Today is the day the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie comes out AND the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, so like this guy, we've got a litle bit of both.
FIRST, we've got 10 new entries in the Parade of Unfortunate Star Wars Costumes starting right here with Yoda's Angels. And what better way to celebrate than to go back and visit all the intergalactic merriment on Cap'n Wacky's Death Star of Fun?
For those of you who prefer what's nerdy today, we've got a list of Pirates' Pet Peeves.
More Star Wars fun this week as we continue to celebrate the orginal's 3oth Anniversary. First up, there are ten new entries in The Parade of Unfortunate Star Wars Costumes. You can jump right to the newest ten, start with last week's additions, or go back to where it all started.
Secondly, we've got a list of How Nerds Are Celebrating Star Wars' 3oth Anniversary
Finally, Recruit of the Jedi has been chosen as a finalist in the Star Wars Fan Film Challange. Please go watch it and vote for us to win! It stars capnwacky.com co-founder RJ White and was written and produced by the other capnwacky.com co-founder Brodie H. Brockie, who also appears at the end of the skit as... well, that would be telling.
The original Star Wars movie turns 30 this month, so we'll be using that as an excuse to revisit Cap'n Wacky's Death Star of Fun throughout the rest of this month.
First, revisit the 20th anniversary celebration, when the Special Editions we released along with one of the series' B-list characters in the comic Greedo's Special Day (written by our own Brodie H. Brockie with great art by "The Mighty" Adam Watson).
And it wouldn't be a Cap'n Wacky Star Wars celebration without a return to our most popular feature ever, The Parade of Unfortunate Star Wars Costumes! If you've already seen the old ones, you can skip straight to the five new entries starting here. More to come!
OK, and in the non-nerdy stuff, this week's list is Rejected Prom Themes. Also, we'd like to issue a retraction. In last week's list, Surprises in the Spider-Man Movie, we included the entry "That it is possible to make a third installation of a series without it degenerating into utter crap." Um, apparently not. We regret the error.
Spider-Man is back in movie theaters, and we're shamelessly swinging onto the bandwagon with two wallcrawlin' features:
First, a conversation with several of Spider-Man's (almost) deadlieist foes in An Interview With The Sinister Six.
And over in lists, we've got a list of Surprises in the New Spider-Man Movie. You might want to avoid reading those if you haven't seen the movie yet (if they weren't fake).
Also, we didn't make this, but we found an exciting clip from the movie online. We haven't seen it anywhere before, so we thought you might like it:
