Bleagghh

We've all been feeling under the weather this week, as chronicled in Carter's latest entry in the Amalgablog.

Kind of makes me wish we had also done Unfortunate Get Well Cards at some point. I mean, we even did Thanksgiving, for crying out loud.

Variant interior with die- cut holo-mylar covers

So, you read a lot of comics, right? I mean, you probably wouldn't be reading much of this site otherwise, right? No of course not. So, here's this week's update, to the dramatic section, a brief scene from a meeting room in the Gotham City Museum.

If you find it all amusing, you may have a problem. Perhaps you should engage in some self-diagnosis, with one of our past features.

But we only have pot roast on Sundays!

So how have you been? Yes? Okay, good. Oh, nothing, it's just that your mother called and she's been worried.

Zonar has a lot of things to say and you'd be wise to listen good.

Thanks to the lousy movies coming out this time of year, there's no shortage of things for him to refuse to see.

Also, our favorite misanthrope/film critic/advice maven has some very sensitive thoughts on the topic of America's ongoing weight problems.

Are you sure you're okay? You've been looking peaked lately? Okay, okay, we're just concerned.

If you're looking for some holiday fun with a tinge of the ol' green and the ol' stereotypes, be sure to check out the Boatload Of Blarney.

And remember, if you need to talk, we're right here, okay? Alright, never mind. We just worry about you, is all.

Jesus rides beside me; He never buys any smokes

This week, Zonar catches up on his not-watching of films, with a look at The Passion of the Christ. He somehow manages to pull in references to Batman and The Three Stooges. Don't ask me, he just e-mails us and we slap it up there.

Why, if it's the first Friday of the month, that must mean it's time once again for a Disgruntled Employee, right? Man, you're quick. This time around, it's our faithful washroom towel boy, Edgar Gaberdine.

Looking at the statistics, it appears as though folks are actually looking at It Ain't Cool In the Basement News, always a favorite section around here, but it never quite caught on with anyone who actually uses the internet. Someone over at the rottentomatoes.com forums linked over and we got one of the best only reviews the feature's ever received:

Somebody has way too much time on their hands. AICN is a joke along with its blowhard leader Harry Knowles, but this site is nearly as pathetic.
I guess 'Scarlet Pimpernel' didn't bother checking out the rest of our site, otherwise they'd realize the rest of this stuff is every single bit as pathetic, if not moreso than anything Harry Knowles belches up over at aint it cool.
