Where have you gone, Count Scary? The motor city turns it lonely eyes to you. Woo woo woo.

New this week: Country Music Songs For Nerds in hilarious list form!

Also, we were sorry to hear this week of the passing of Lawson J. Deming, better known as Sir Graves Ghastly to those of us who grew up within range of television broadcasts coming out of Detroit, Michigan in the 60s, 70s, and 80s (to clarify, we missed the 60s by not being born yet).

Sir Graves was one of those great television entertainers of a different age, putting their all into their brief segments introducing schlocky, choppy movies and old affordable classics to a local audience. To many of us, he was a funny and comfortable guide to help us peek into the dark corners of the closet and get our first glimpse of how, sometimes, even nightmares can be fun. Happy Hauntings, Sir Graves.

Also, he partly inspired the piece Host Writers in our Halloween section.
